Cowboys & Aliens Streaming - Olivia Wilde Nude Scene?!

There was a whole lot of fanboy excitement a little while ago when it looked like there was a chance that Olivia Wilde was going to appear nude in a scene of Cowboys & Aliens.

In a story written for the Toronto Star, Wilde said “Last night, we did a scene where I'm naked in front of a group of couple hundred Apache. Pretty amazing, pretty interesting.”. I'm not sure where interesting comes from. But that's a pretty solid quote for the rumor mills to have picked up.

And to add to Wilde's quote the story quoted co-star Adam Beach saying “We just finished shooting Olivia Wilde naked in front of a bonfire in front of 500 Apache warriors… That was beautiful. You won't get to see what I saw, but you'll get a glimpse.”.

That's where the rumor really picked up steam. People even started talking about the movie getting an R rating and showing full nudity.

However, the hopes of many a fan were dashed when Wilde posted this on her Twitter account (@oliviawilde): "don't want to disappoint, but my "nude" scene in Cowboys & Aliens is very PG13. I was in a bikini but we'll make it look as naked as we can."

So there you have it. A whole lot of nothing made from the quotes in a newspaper story.

The moral of the story is of course, you can't trust the mainstream media.

Although this isn't the photo I was hoping for from Cowboys & Aliens, it's not bad.

For the record, the photo that I'm waiting for will have Olivia Wilde in it.

Cowboys & Aliens is in full swing with Jon Favreau looking to strike gold again using a great and talented cast to make a movie with a lot of production value work.

I have faith in him. Do you?

The photo at the top is from the Cowboys & Aliens graphic novel that the movie is based on. And the photo at the bottom is of course Daniel Craig with a very futuristic looking lantern.

Cowboys & Aliens - Casting

Abigail Spencer

Jon Favreau has reportedly added another actress to the cast of Cowboys & Aliens.

Word is that Abigail Spencer (Mad Men) will be in the movie along with Olivia Wilde and prominent male leads Harrison Ford, Sam Rockwell and Daniel Craig.

While there isn't any confirmation on what her part may be or what her character name may be, it is another nice addition to the cast that Favreau had already put together to make the film adaptation of the graphic novel.

Cowboys & Aliens is filming now and comes to theaters everywhere July 29, 2011.

Cowboys & Aliens - Casting Update!

Word from the set of Cowboys & Aliens is that Walton Goggins is joining the cast of the flick. The cast already includes Daniel Graig, Harrison Ford and Olivia Wilde.

There is no official report on what role Goggins will be playing, but he looks like he'd fit in a Western, so I'm totally okay with the choice.

Otherwise things have been rather quiet from the set. I'm waiting for more photos to leak and such.

What I do have is an animated cover of Cowboys & Aliens. It's admittedly not much, but I looked around and I kind of like it.

Cowboys & Aliens is set for release in the summer of the blockbuster, July 29, 2011.

The first photos from the set of Jon Favreau's Cowboys & Aliens have surfaced, and we have them!

There's not much to go on, but we do get to see the set in one of the pics, and a cowboy in the other.

When there are more photos available, especially of the cast, I will have them and I will share them. I promise!

Cowboys & Aliens - Coming Summer 2011!

Cowboys & Aliens is already on some people’s lists for most anticipated movies of 2011. And with the director, cast and story laid out for us, I can’t argue that choice one bit.

Jon Favreau (Iron Man 2) is bringing this wild west versus space invaders story to the big screen and if he does anywhere near the job he has done in the past Cowboys & Aliens is already guaranteed to be a fun watch.

And given the fact that Favreau will have Daniel Craig (Quantum Of Solace), Harrison Ford (Extraordinary Measures), Olivia Wilde (Tron: Legacy) and Sam Rockwell (Iron Man 2) in the cast won’t hurt either. It’s a good looking and talented group and I’m looking forward to seeing them in chaps and hats and boots. Some more than others of course.

The story is set in 1873 Arizona in a sleepy little town run by Colonel Dolarhyde (Ford) who has complete control over everything. But when a stranger (Craig) comes to town without any memory of where he’s from or where’s he’s been comes to town things start to change.

The town of Absolution is attacked by Aliens by night, the townsfolk being abducted one by one, helpless against their opponents. However, as Jake starts to remember his past he realizes that he may know the solution to the problem.

So with the help of a wandering traveler (Wilde) and the townspeople who rejected him, Jake will have to lead the people of Absolution to victory and safety.

All signs point to a huge battle scene with effects and tons of awesome.

Cowboys & Aliens comes to theaters July 29, 2011.
